The Forsyth Mayor and Councilmembers play an essential role in the governance of the city. They are responsible for guiding the city government by setting policies, creating and passing local laws and ordinances, as well as approving budgets and major city initiatives. Together, the Mayor and Councilmembers collaborate to address community needs, allocate resources, and make decisions that shape the city's growth and quality of life for our residents.
The Mayor and Council holds regular meetings twice a month and welcomes public input. You may arrange to speak at a council meeting by contacting the City Clerk at 478-994-5649 or rivie@cityofforsyth.com.
